Hi folks,

this is a thread for ya'll to post any fishing pics. Hopefully it'll be made a "sticky" so it stays on top! :D

I'll start it off with this northern, I'd say about 36" (didn't weigh it) that my buddy from work whos boat we were on caught. This was back a couple months ago on the bay off Oconto, Wi (just north of Green Bay). Mostly we were catching smaller brown trout in only about 8' of water within 300 yds. of shore. It was well before the walleyes made their way down. Pretty nippy wind that day! :P

Well, it's been a while since I got to go out fishing with my friend Brad, but it was worth the wait! This was from this last wednesday;

what we mostly caught after that (white bass), man were they biting too, about 25 in an hour!

Fishing here in Germany is way more trouble than its worth, so the only times my kids have been fishing is when we have been in the states visiting. It is something that they always look forward to.

Somehow my daughter manages to catch a turtle every year. This was last year's

Thanks humbug!

We'd have to catch quite a bit more to equal the weight of yours though! Hoping to get into some walleye like that. :D

Do you smoke your salmon or grill 'em? Or both? I love salmon fishing and eating. I'm gonna have to bribe some unwary buddy to take me along on the big lake (Michigan) for them Kings. What I mean by unwary is, every time I've been out on Michigan, even when there wasn't a cloud in the sky, we've always had to deal with 6-foot swells! One friend called me Jonah! ;D

Salmon I usually grill. I put them in a piece of aluminum foil, cover them with mayonaise and grill them. I also grill them directly on the grill with lemon pepper.

I do a lot of trout fishing. There are a lot of trout streams around here. I usually roll those in eggs and flour and fry them.

I don't snorkel EVER anymore. Did it off the coast of Playa Del Carmen and ran smack into a Manta Ray!! :o Scared the bejeezius outta me! Not a shark but thats ok..I stay IN the boat now! A LOT of people still go in the water with those critters.

No thats not a dolphin its a Barracuda in the water before we brought it on the boat.

I'm the ugly large one on the left. This is one of three we caught off the coast of Mexico.

The good looking one in the middle is my wife; she caught one of the three.

We ate one fillet off the smallest one and it was mighty tasty.

Them little bitty bass is biting down here.
Before anybody wants to crawl me about the fish being so small, I was asked by the owner to get a specific number of fish out of the lake every year.
He said if I didn't want them to just throw them on the bank.
I don't see a bit of use in doing that.
These are nice healthy fish and they will make a heck of a fine fish fry.
Probably wasn't a one of them go over a pound and a half if that big, all largemouth bass.
That ain't me in the pic, thats my fishin buddy

Here's me with an oversized red fish I caught during a tournament recently. *Notice the look of 'non-joy' on my face. *>:( This was the 4th OVERSIZED (exceeding the 28in TX limit) I caught that day. *I couldn't catch on small enough to keep! *It's great hooking the Big Boys when you're fishing with clients, but it sucks when you're fishing a money tournament. *This was the smallest one of the day for me (31 inches). He got his picture taken and was released back into the wild to haunt me on some other tournament day..........it could be a lot worse ya know...LOL. ;D

http://a281.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/24/l_58c73566fbe7e1ccba3de3eddf2b59d0.jpg

And I caught this guy later that day. *The damn thing drug me around Lake Sabine in my kayak for 20 minutes before I finally got him to come up. (I'm actually smiling in this picture because it was the biggest Black Drum I've ever caught from a kayak. It had to weigh at least 45 pounds, but didn't count for the tournament....was fun to catch though. *She was photographed and released.....life is good, life is good.

http://a755.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/14/l_68ee57a932b64135ebca61da8c720422.jpg *And here's my beautiful outdoor princess I've waited my whole life for with her VERY FIRST legal, self caught, Texas Red Fish.....I may have helped a litttttle, but not much. *This is one of my favorite pictures ever. *She caught her first red, and we feasted on the bounty later that night. *She loves the outdoors, loves to fish, loves to canoe/kayak, and she claims she even likes me a little. *;) LIFE IS GOOD! Oh, and she's been out fishing me ever since..... ??? :( ;)
