Opening Day

Went out, and for the first time in decades, didn't see a thing. Between a full moon for night feeding, and the bumper crop of mast, Bambi was no where to be seen. We couldn't even kick one up in the brush. We did disturb one doe, but she was illegal to shoot in Caldwell county. Son was very disappointed. Next day, same thing. Maybe we'll get some hogs after deer season is over.
