First egg today!

Hubby and I spent the morning putting up new perches for the girls. I went out at 4:30 p.m. and Viola! A thank you gift from one of the girls! Our first egg. Nice hard shell. Perfectly shaped. You should've seen me trying to get back to the house to show hubby. I've never moved that fast across ice without skates on.

Hey Av8rTx, what kind of chickens do you have? Mine are Rhode Island Reds. I'm fast becoming one of those weird "chicken people". Although I've never actually put a chicken diaper on any of them, I can't say I haven't thought about it. And have you seen the chicken saddles yet? OMG! Too cute.
