I stumbled across this website last week while researching various topics on self sufficiency. I must say, what a gold mine of information this place has. The on-line articles I've read from the magazine contain practical information, as well as being entertaining to read. I do believe that I'll need to set myself up for a subscription, and possibly look into purchasing the anthology, providing I can pull that amount of money together.
The forum also has plenty of useful information, indeed I've enjoyed a number of your posts here on everything from food drying to primitive weapons construction. It has helped me to realize that I'm not as well prepared as I had thought, but I think that can be easily remedied if I stick around here long enough.
Anyways, I'll probably have plenty of questions to ask in the coming days. For starts, can anyone recommend a good reference on learning how to blacksmith?
