Today our civilization is on the edge of total collapse and few have seemed to notice or think it could ever really happen. Or could it be they just can't stand the thought of such things, preferring instead to watch football or Jerry Springer to pass their day, giving little thought to the state of the world around them.

If you think the U.S. Is above any type of collapse or social break down or that we can be saved by modern technology or government you need pull your head out of the sand box and take a good long look at the world at the present time.

We must take responsibility for our life and survival, now before it's to late. No one will save you from the collapse that awaits, you must save yourself. To think otherwise would be foolish to the point of insanity.

Hello C. Crow
Yes, I couldn't agree more. People need to get off the couch and take action. Please, tell us some more about what you think is important, and specifically what you think is should be done for upcoming crisises.

On our part, my family is focusing on having zero credit card debt, fully paying off our mortage and being debt-free, and developing our property to be a self-sufficent homestead. I have ongoing projects to develop alternative energy systems, water resourses, and organic food production. I'd love to hear about your goals.

I am not concerned about America's collapse: I have seen it is worse shape and we recovered.

I am more concerned about unemployement, natural disasters such as Katrina, earthquake, ice storms that take out a good part of America's power grid AGAIN, unemployement.......

Getting set up to be more self-reliant is a most EXCELLENT precaution, as is a basic knowledge of how to do things!
