I Live in a Mobile Home in the Mountains, & we rely on Electricity for our heat. Needless to say, this gets expensive fast in the winter.

But here's a little trick we use, that helps heat the house when we wake up in the mornings.

We Wash clothes the night before, just 1 load, & in the Am we put them in the dryer. This heat from the dryer really puts out alot of heat, & quickly warms the hall & 2 back rooms of our trailer.

We were washing all in one day, but we found it would get so hot, that we'd have to open some windows, so instead, we do a load an evening, & "dry" them in the morning.

Since doing this, we have found our electric bill cut by 1/4 in the winter months as opposed to us using small space heaters to try to get the house warm in the ams when it's the coldest.

I use my gas stove for heat and leave the living room window open about an inch to keep the trailer vented and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. However since it's anything but air tight I don't think I have much worry about that. There a spot where a vent fan was, no fan but the framework is still there, on the wall in the kitchen between the stove and fridge that I put a piece of foil over to keep out the cold.
If it is to get down to freezing I just warm up the trailer before going to bed, pile on the extra covers, then in the morning I try to do something like bake biscuits so the oven warms the place up. If I don't need that much heat I can usually get warm by just fixing oatmeal or grits for breakfast.
So far we've only had a couple of nights where it got down to freezing.
Oh yes, I usually run around the house in flannel pajama pants and a fleece night shirt that comes down to my knees and am pretty warm. If I need something warmer I switch to sweat pants and a heavy tee-shirt. I really don't like long sleeves and luckily don't need them all that often.
