I checked out the fire by bow. Pretty fair to say no one there ever has.

Pretty easy seein that since I do, and in 120 seconds anytime I want.

I didn't want to crash that party, so I didn't say so over there.

I'l look around more, and depending on what I see, if it isn't all fanatasy, I might sign up.

If it turns out a man needs every friggin store bought camping item ever sold I won't.

I consider my years of learning valuable and don't need soapbox commandos telling me what is tried and true won't work.

Whats got me buggered is the SHTF in the address..

Ocala, checked out the site and signed up, maybe it will have some fresh stuff?

Seems it's been kinda dead around here lately.
Could it be that some of you have stopped over at:
http://www.homesteadingtoday.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Seems that Back Woods Home Mag is now a sponsor.

I made it over to SHTF as well. *Spent probably 2 weeks and gave it a good read through most of the stuff. *I'd rate it light weight to fair. *For the most part about 10-12 dedicated repeat posters in the click and if ya ain't in the click ya might as well be talking to the wall. *Has kind of a 19 year olds rah rah flavor to it but worth a visit.

Now for something with a little more meat to the matter you might want to take a read over at http://zombiehunters.org/forum/.

I guess that's *pretty much how most of the forums are, but kinda like the old saying;
"If you don't vote, don't bitch"

Seems like a lot of good contributions and info here, that may be passed along?
Ranger Rick gave it a shot.

I went there today and gave it a go but then I ran into a thread question that said what guns do you own and some idiots actualy posted pics of their gun collection. Why not just make a list and send it to the " ATF" Not a site I want to be connected with and like the man said It's just my opinion.

Unless you bought them out of the newspaper, or a long time ago, they already know what you have.

Just watch the elections and keep the gun control people out.

Yes, they do know if they are registered, bought under the current laws, etc. But why give them an incentive to look you up, or to keep track?

One thing I learned a long time ago was that the bureaucrats like you to THINK that they have everything on file, and they probably do - somewhere. But it's only when they want to know more about you that they go looking for it. As long as you stay below the radar and don't give them a reason to go through all of those files and boxes and bags and storage, your chances are better. Not perfect, but better.

Down South no one ever says that they have money, or how much or what kind of property they own, or anything. When someone politely says that they are "comfortable" you know not to traipse any further into their business. Less said the better. Bragging on the internet that one is well armed is asking to have it taken away - sort of like a gunfighter of old who wore his guns tied down. As Gene Wilder said in Blazing Saddles, "A twelve year old kid challenged me, and just turned and I walked away. Little B___ shot me in the ___." No point in inviting trouble. It usually accepts - without an RSVP.

hello i'm kind of new ,but here's my two cents. after reading all responces and visiting site i would be carefull of posting any kind of inventory or pics of cashes. i have a friend that thinks all survival sites are govt. fronts to monitor people of alegded ability to resist. most of the posts are a little hollywood on other sites. i even had someone tell me that they learned (it) from a movie. everything i've read here (bhm) is the real deal. i hope that i never need the skills i 've learned. my shtf choice for a gun is 22lr.- lite gun and ammo means more ammo can be carried

Mtl272:
I have to agree with you on some of your points. I wouldn't post lists of my preps or photos.
And my favorite weapon of choice is my Ruger 10/22. Light weight, lots of ammo per pound. With the 4X scope I can drill nails with it. .........Weezin

A little clarification on Federal Firearms Laws. We are Federal Firearms License Holders of a Type 01 Dealer in Firearms, Type 06 Manufacturer of Ammunition, Type 07 Manufacturer of Firearms, and a Special Occupational Tax Stamp (SOT) Holder, Class *II Manufacturer of NFA Firearms. I will post many of the State Regulations for assualt weapons on our www.ustacticalarms.com website FAQ later next month

The only firearms registered with the BATF&E are NFA Weapons (Full Auto, SBS, SBR, Suppressors, AOW).

Under current law Title 1 firearms require a 4473 FORM which is retained by the Dealer for 20 Years, then destroyed. If the dealer goes out of business the forms are sent to BATF&E. If a Law Enforcement Agency has a weapon from a crime it can be tracked from the original manufacturer forward.

I still strongly suggest you follow the policy of "NEVER TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO & NEVER DO WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT"

Just watch the elections and keep the gun control people out.

Only problem is this time around, unless it's Ron, whoever wins WILL be an anti...well, I guess Mike's OK there too but like Ron, it's not looking that great. :-/
