When ever I come across a sale on Bic lighters I always buy a lot!
Found a place at a flea market and was able to buy a gross for about 7 bucks.

When I do this, I go around to all my hunting coats, BOB bags, truck glove box, tackle box, etc putting a couple in each.

When heading out hunting I always give each guy(girl) in the party a couple to put in their pocket.
Non-smokers usally don't carry a lighter(s).

I find this very cheap insurance, should I happen to get caught out after dark, cold etc.

One nice thing about getting older, your memory isn't as good, but you can afford a lot of lighters.

Put that BIC in the freezer for a bit, then try to light it.
Wet your thumb and try to light it.

They're good to "toss in" your kit or whatever, I agree, but I'd not want them as my only source of fire.

I dont know what happens when it's freezing, but at least you can use the flint from the bic.
