Just 150,000 on the Grand Marquis. I only know this (I don't usually pay attention) because yesterday all the zero's showed up when I stoped at a light.

In 1982 i bought a new HD 3/4 ton Chevy pu with a 6.2L diesel... I kept it serviced, but i also used it for a truck and it now has 200,000 on it. The diesel had a bad injector now too, so i haven't been driveing it lately. It's my oldest vechile, and this is the first injector problem i've had with it...

I've had (5) 6.2L diesels, and all have been good, but i never overheated them, and i kept the oil changed regularly... They are pretty good on fuel too...

My scoot to work car is a Kia. It has 240,000 miles on it and it still runs fairly well. I have done very few repairs on it. My pickup is a 2004 Ford 150 and has 35,000 miles on it. My 65 mustang says it has 65,000 miles on it, but I am not sure how many times the odometer has turned over.

80,000 on my 2002 dodge ram 4by2 with short bed and short cab. I bought it new so it will likely be around a while. I was afraid I would need to trade it to be able to afford my commute but now telecommuting I think my next vehicle will be a long bed diesel of some sort.

It all in how you take care of them.

94 ford conversion van 301,600 roughly.
87 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 931,560 or so I have had it since it had just over 500,000. I did a title check on it when I got it.

77 Chevy 1 ton pickup converted by yours truly into a dump truck that totes 4 tons I have no idea how many miles it has. The speedo hasn't worked since I have had it. I hav put 2 sets of tires on it in the last 3 years and it needs tires now. It seems I spend more time behind the wheel than actually working but then again a lot of my work is simple delivery of topsoil, mulch and gravel.

I think you need one more vehicle *:)

I have a 1990 Mustang GT Convertible and a 1972 Honda CB350 but I'm not sure about mileage on them. I'm trying to offload a few of them. There just isn't enough time to work on all those vehicles.

I bought a '91 Toyota 2WD, 4 banger this weekend for a tad over $1500. *Truck runs great, feels new. *Only had 130k miles on it. *I need to replace the tires, get the oil changed, valve adjustment (from what the seller said) etc. but I think I got a good deal. *I love those old Toyota pickups.

I guess it would help if you knew how old the vehicles are. Since you asked I decided to check out the other ones too:
The Grand Marquis is a 1998 150,000
Ford f150 is a 1999 98,500
Honda Civic is a 1999 78,000
Mercury Sable is a 1992 (but I just bought it used this year) 68,000 and it is in great shape.

The Grand Marquis is my main car, the others are mostly for family use but they all belong to me.

I trade my automobiles (I only own one at a time) about every two to three years to get the best trade-in value. For about 60 years I have traded my light trucks at about 180,000 to 200,000 miles. My heavy trucks go about 750,000 before their first in-frame overhaul and I like to trade at about 1,250,000 miles. The trading time is largely based on the IRS depreciation regulations since these trucks are business vehicles. When they are depreciated for taxes they are traded.

1997 Silverado half ton extended cab short bed that I bought in 2002 - 217,000 miles, looks and runs like new. (It helps that the entire driver's side was just re-done due to a deer strike!) Vortec 5.8 liter V8, oil changed every 3000 miles, I get about 22 mpg. I've gone through a couple of fuel pumps, brakes, brake lines and just put new struts in the front end, but that's it. It's been a wonderfully reliable truck.

Little Scoot for running around town is a 1988 Beretta that I inheirited. Only 89,000 miles, mechanically in great shape with a 2 liter four cylinder, but the body is starting to show it's age; sagging headliner, rusty corners, and paint flaking off the roof. But hey, she runs great and gets around 25 mpg. or better, and is roomier on the inside than any modern small car. Next summer I'll do some body work and a little painting, and who knows, maybe it will still be going when my 13 year old needs a car. ;D

Vehicle #1..'93 Suburban @ 117,000 mi
it looks an drives like new (I bought it right
off the car delivery carrier in '93!)

Vehicle #2..'96 K1500 ext cab PU @ 128,000mi
I bought it w/6,000 miles from a friend. It also
is like new.

Both of these vehicles are planned to be my
last now that I'm retired. I don't drive either
of them unless the job requires a vehicle instead
using my custom built adult trike for urban duty.
This cut's my gas bill some months to zero!

I buy fuel about once every 2>3 months at 1/2
tank to keep it fresh. So all can see we're serious
about extending the life of both vehicles and
totally ignore gas cost! ;D ;D

About 96,000 on my 2001 F-150. I've also got a 250cc 2006 Kawasaki Ninja with about 200 miles on it, if that. It was meant for around-town errands and such, but my wife and I moved to a spot 30 miles (via the interstate) from town after we got married, so it hasn't seen much use. She doesn't like me riding it anyway, given the fact that my entire motorcycle-riding experience is on that odometer ;) .

Miles?? How about years?
Y'all kinda make me wish I had written the mileage down somewhere.
I have been driving my Ford pickup for 16 years,
There was a 2 year period where I know I was driving 25000 miles a year
I drive it every day.
I dont stray out of my territory,
Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, but I have covered most of those states.
I frequently pull an 18" trailer with another car or truck or a tractor loaded up.
My Ford was new in 1939

73 Plymouth Duster, slant 6 engine (sold) 175,000 miles

85 Honda Accord, (sold) 180,000

current car 1998 Mazda 626 175,000 miles
I've spent a lot of money keeping the Mazda going. It has a Ford transmission that is too small for the car. This is a well know problem, but Mazda won't fix it. My wife's 626's transmission died at 60k, so the dealer fixed it. My died at 100k, and they would not fix it.

DD has '95 Ford Taurus wagon with over 200k miles on it. Luckily for her the original owner had a good bit of expensive work done on it. She just had the transmission redone a few months back and it needs a new muffler and the window in the passenger side rear door needs replacing. It's overheating too so we tend to use it only on short trips or on ones that are mainly on the freeway where she can drive fast enough to keep the engine cool. And no, she doesn't speed, usually sets the cruise at 55 and leaves it there. We still get over 25mpg in it.

Here's one for ya.....the wife's '03 Saturn Vue, 62,000 miles. The transmission went out 3 weeks ago. No warning, no slip, no noise, just *poof*-gone. Turns out that the '03 and '04 models had some kind of new belt drive tranny that are absolute junk. They're aware of it, but are doing squat about it. A well known tranny shop near me wouldn't touch it due to class action suits against the manufacturer, another quoted $5800, a 3rd was $4900, and the dealer was $6100 plus labor and tax!!! Parts aren't available at all from the manufacturer, no rebuilds in the tri-state area at all, and one boneyard tranny for $3000 with no warranty at all. A call to their hq got me nowhere, even when I told 'em that there were FOUR saturns purchased using my name. (one with my ex, an sl2 with the wife when we first got together, that vue, and as cosigner on my stepsons ion) We never had a problem with one of their vehicles till this happened, and with all the problems we had over the past 3 weeks, I will never reccomend one of their vehicles again. So much for customer loyalty eh??? Ever try to get a car with a trade in with a years worth of payments, a shot transmission, only $1000 to put down, and not so great credit? arrrghhh been pullin' my hair out for the past few weeks. Finally after 2 weeks worth of calls and visits, we got the wife into an '06 pontiac torrent. Not what I wanted, but perfect for her. Sorry for the sorta off-topic post...just needed to vent.lol

Yea I looked into it before we decided on getting it. It's really close to the same design as the Vue, but doesnt have that VRT tranny thank god lol. The awd got tested this week when we got the first good snowfall of the year, and it's performed great. It seems like a little safer vehicle in the snow for the wife, which eases my mind a lot.

Nice Michael. *I have a '91 4 banger 2WD - 150k. *Bought it with 128k for $1200. Still running good, just eats a little more oil.

What kind do you have - 2WD or 4WD? *Any repairs you have done over the years that you felt extended the life of it?

The latest thing my truck is doing:

Temp runs hotter than normal if I am driving around town with the air temp tilted towards warm. Driving on the interstate - no problems. Can't figure it out. Has plenty of coolant.

Gump, visualy check your radiator for missing fins,I wouldn't worry too much,I drove the old 87 quite awhile after realizing I could see through it,just know what it's like and keep your eye on the level, and a watch out for leaks, usually with every oil change I inspect mine,

Tough to beat a T444E as far as V8 Diesels go. Regular oil changes are important-injector plungers get stuck and cause cold missing, and eventually it won't start at all. I'm putting a set in a FedEx van at work now. Only 2 were firing.......good luck with yours! 8)

I keep them plugged into life support all winter up here at 7000 feet. Only the Cummings will start without at least 2-3 hours of having the block heater plugged in.
