Anyone familar with this particular RV? It has 74,000 miles and is in really good condition. Everything works and it looks good to be 31 yrs old. They are asking $3000. Just wondering if anyone had experience with this RV.

I've never had an RV but have always wanted one. We are seriously considering buying this one. The owner is a detective for the city police dept. They are gone on a 300 mile round trip in the RV this weekend. We put our camaro on craigs list today (boy was that hard to do)! It just is not practical anymore.

Don't specifically know about Honey, but:
The coachwork and interior on most motorhomes would vary depending on the manufacturer, but they used standard hardware, furnaces, A/C units, etc. The weak spot on these is the roof--if not kept calked (unless it's solid fiberglass, not sure what you have) and leaks can cause both visible and hidden damage.
Until about 1978 most motorhome chassis were built by Dodge though some were Ford and Chevy-- GMC too.
I have an old Kelley Blue Book that goes back only to 1978 and it only shows 2 Honey models, one 20 1/2' and the other 23 1/2'long.
Also, what do you have, a Class C with van front or a class A?
Engine choices also varied.
I would guess that if the seller is taking a trip in it, it must be in pretty good shape. Smog testing may be an issue in your state. If so, you need to get the seller to guarantee that it will pass.
Good luck!

Yeah, I would make it a point to climb up and see what the roof looks like. There`s a product out there used to coat the whole roof of travel trailers and RV`s that`ll at least temporarily fix any leaks but, if there`s moisture already in the superstructure, there might be irrepairable damage, even an ant infestation. And, if you take it on any long trips where the body sways, it`s going to rip itself apart with time. This happened to me with a slide- on camper I had.
