We have a couple of horses that we were considering selling. It's tough spending $200 a month feeding the wife's lawn ornaments when you're out of work....and the wife is "underemployed" for the next couple months. (school bus driver...working at a local summer camp, part time...and for 2/3 of her normal pay)...but....
I have been half-seriously considering buying some harnesses...pulling the powertrain out of my CJ7 and making it into a horse and buggy setup... LOL

Hey SS45,
Don't discount that idea entirely!!
I read somewhere lately that out in Pa. there were city folks bringing their reg. quarter horses to the Amish and paying to have them buggy broke!!
Makes ya wonder..........
I was at a local community/farm auction awhile back, and saw a good looking yearling up for sale with papers.
Stood well, good markings and had a real good disposition, especially around a crowd and the auction truck.
Green broke and came with a small amount of tack.
Bid up to $75.00 and stopped. Seller was looking about as sad as could be.........said it'd take $100.00 to buy her.....
As bad as it sounds, nobody can afford to feed another mouth right now, especially one that eats like a horse.
Best of luck to you.
