I have a 1999 Ford F150 that I use for hauling the puppet show and my son uses it as his main get around vehicle. He has started to attend a young adults group at a local church. The church shares it's parking lot with a "park and ride" for folks taking the bus or the train into Chicago. Last Saturday night he went to the church and when he got out he noticed that the door was unlocked (he always locks it) and all the lights on the dashboard were on, and he couldn't get it to start. He called me, I was at work and I told him to get a ride home and we would go over and look at it Sunday morning. When I got there Sunday morning I noticed that the ignition switch was pulled out about 3/4 of an inch from the steering column. I figure someone thought that the driver of the truck was going into the city and they got scared away when the church group got let out. I had to have the truck towed to my mechanic. He fixed it (he replaced the tumblers and reprogrammed the chip in the key) and I had him give it an oil change adjust the brakes and replace the electronics for the heater that had burned out. I owe him $250 (that's really cheap, for all he did) I think I have the best mechanic in the world.
