Poor Tenderloin, his wild antics in the barn finally did him in. He was a pretty good Houdini as far as full-blooded Bull Jersey calfs go, escaping from every containment we tried. He also liked to eat and did not mind nursing off any cow that stopped short, even if it was not his mother. Apparently when he went after some other cow's colostrum, he was done in.
He was only 3 weeks old, but he got the Scours yesterday and thus had to be shipped for Veal before the scours done him in. Guess my livestock has become deadstock now.
