I have been making CP soap for a few months now, this is the second time I have tried to use my Honey Almond scent. When I add it in, the mix gets thick and lumpy before I can even get the oil mixed in all the way, none of my other scents do this. I have heard of accelerants but don't really understand why it happens or how to prevent it, any suggestions?

The first batch it happened with I went ahead and poured into the mold, after it set it was very oily and lumpy so I used a cheese grater to shred it and melted it again, final product came out dry. The second batch I put back on the heat before I poured it, got most of the lumps out, final product very very oily ???

Some fragrance oils can cause your soap to seize or accelerate trace. That is probably what happened here. I can't explain to you why, apparently a chemical reaction.
Many sites include information about accelerated trace in the descriptions of their fragrance oils. Here is a link that does that.

If you add your fragrance oils to the warmed base oils before adding the lye, it will temper the speed of the reaction if the fo is fast. Handstirring, instead of using a stick blender, will help too.
