While the rest of you played at the beach, cooked out and took a day off I was busy working on a project I have been thinking about for a few months.
We have a 20 foot travel trailer that we have used a total of three times in the last 10 years. We started tent camping and it worked out better.
I have been wanting a small shop to tinker on things not needing anything big
because #1 I am not a carpenter and #2 If I work on your car it will cost more to get someone else to fix it after I am finished
I do however like to tinker on guns and need a place to store my hunting and camping gear.
We had looked at pre built storage buildings but have had other bills that took the money first.
So there sat the camper. With hammer in hand I went to work tearing out the inside, first went the table/bed and then the end sofa bed. My three sons carried out all the splintered wood to a burn barrel in the backyard. By this afternoon I had pretty much finished my project. I left in the stove, oven and fridge along with the toilet and shower. I wanted to leave it at the point it could still be used for cookouts. It came out pretty good. All of my hunting gear is out of the house and I now have a place to clean guns besides the kitchen table or the living room floor.
