I picked up a nice little hunting knife at the local thrift store for 5.95. The only inscription on it is RH pal 36 and under that is made in USA. The pal has a circle around it. It's about 101/2 inches long with leather rings for a handle. The two second to the last rings in front and back are red and it looks to have a pewter butt to it. It also has a blood grove on both sides of the blade. Any one know anything about this knife ? It holds a real sharp edge.

Sounds like a WW2 Navy knife, is this what it looks like? If it is the same, then you got a pretty good deal, looking around they go for $40 to $100 depending on condition and as always how bad someone wants it. ;) :)

Nice knife, if you are looking for a sheath to just for carrying, an aftermarket K-Bar sheath would probably work, you can find them in leather and cordura.
