Poultry nest boxes

We keep ducks, not chickens, for eggs and I want to build nest boxes that collect the eggs, out of reach of the ducks. Has anyone done this and what is a good way of building it? With a sloped wire floor or rather wood?

I'm not familiar with ducks however if they lay like chickens, in a nest box, you should be able to manufacture something pretty similar. Here is a link with some pictures but you can't enlarge them.
