I am hoping to meet people from Louisiana who share the same interests in gardening, homesteading, prepping etc.


I am in S.E. La. near Covington. We only have 7 acres of land but have a decent veggie garden, chickens, bees & a cat fish pond.

I can, dehydrate, make our own bread etc and am striving to become more self sufficient.

LOL, that's a big change. We lived in Washington State for awhile and while it was beautiful and the people were nice, I always missed flat swampy Louisiana, and I definitely did not like driving in the mountains.

I am in Louisiana too. I will be looking to move onto some acreage in the country. Looks like I will stay in Louisiana. I don't tolerate the cold well, and well, Louisiana doesn't have much of that, just a whole lot of the other!
