Sending out freezer invitations. ;-)

12 more dark cornish and 3 red bourbon hens will go into the freezer this weekend. Also selling off some of the buff orpington pullets - 6 went today - yeah! The feed bill has been getting out of hand!!!

Do you mean the bourbon hens? THey are with the cornish hens right now and that may not be good. I lost the two toms in the last two weeks. It may have been blackhead so I want to get the hens in the freezer.


The buffs I advertised in the local paper - I am overrun with chickens! One elderly couple came by and bought 6 but that is the only call I got - I may need to try a different paper next week. I have about 25 more to sell!

SInce the Seahawks are done now, maybe someone will read the paper. ;-)

I just discovered freecycle.org, and got rid of a couple of my extra roosters that way. Freecycle is all over the world, but you search for and join a local group. You can request or offer things on the website. Everything must be free, legal, and G rated. It's a neat idea.
