I've posted before about the Dark Cornish chickens I got to avoid those nasty cornish cross birds that are not sustainable. They are unable to reproduce.
Well sitting here with cabin fever - garden supplies all stacked in the living room - I got to thinking - they cross something to get those cornish cross birds! They call them a Cornish-Rock Cross. Hmmm. Can you make your own cornish cross chickens?
THis came up on another forum I am on too, any body know what they cross to make cornish crosses? I am going to try crossing my cornish hens with Buff Roos and vice versa as well as purbreds this year just to see what happens. Would be great for eating if they were a bit larger and faster growing at any rate...
