Hey

I found this site called the caretaker gazette at caretaker.org
It has a bunch of listings( if you pay like $30) of houses that you could be a caretaker of. You get to stay in a house for free when someone needs a house sitter. Id be a fine way to get to try out a part of the country you might be interested in relocating to. Or just for a free place to stay for the winter if your outta a place to stay. I bet a lot of people with summer homes would need a caretaker for it.
has anyone ever used this site? I think itd be fun. Just wanting to know anyones experiences with it. I dont really trust the reviews on any websites. they could put anything up they want and only the good not the bad.

thanks

Haven't gone to the site. However, I'm always skeptical when anyone charges for information that can be had for free with a little research. (Local newspaper ads, for example, in this case.)

Just my 2-cents, this morning.

A few years ago, shortly before I retired, I found and checked into the site. I subscribed to the newletter for a year and was impressed by the information they provided.
If someone is of good character and not a scumbag druggee; it would a good resourse for them. I found some of them to be very tempting. There were some in different parts of the country; and some in foreign countries.
A good deal for someone that is serious about caretaking, and had my health not failed me, I would have gone that route, most likely.

Good Luck,
Snuffy
