On occasion I get an odd ball piece of parafernalia. This time it is one of those huge balls you see on high lines to warn low flying planes, They come in two halfs bolted together and are about 3 feet in diameter. The are made out of a fiber glass plastic material. It was free so I thought ya'll would have some suggestions.

I would put mosaics on them for yard art! Colorful broken dishes and pottery. I've seen bowling balls covered this way selling for $200 - it would be like a huge colorful gazing ball! ;-)
Or... use the halves as dish gardens, drill some holes in the bottom and plant herbs for growing near the kitchen door.

Fill with liquid foam used for wall insulation.
And use for bobbers for really big fish...........

That sounds like one of those things that goes into your stash until the perfect application comes along to fit it.
I haven't seen one of these (don't think I have anyway), so.......
Use the halves for animal feeders or water tanks
Use the halves to make forms, using cement or hypertufa, to make more of them.
Put a rod through the outer edges to anchor each half on edge for driveway markers, or signs.
Long rod, with the halves stacked on edge for garden sculpture. Firmly anchor the bottom half, so the wind can't turn it. Use a bushing to let the top half turn in the wind.
Turn one half upside down. Place the other on top right side up. Bolt together. Turn the assembly into a fountain or planter.
Keep the ball whole. Drill drainage holes in the bottom. Cut out an opening in the opposite side. Dig a hole to anchor the ball in the ground. Fill it with potting soil. Plant a tall plant in the center with trailing vines around the edges. Tomato and cucumbers...
Set the ball in the center of a pondless water feature. Turn the sphere into a bubbler type fountain.
Use the halves, upside down, as the bases for other yard art.
Paint it orange and carve it like a pumpkin. Add a light in the interior.
I'd better close, as some of these ideas may be completely out into left field. :)
