Very envious of your good fortune. The cost of these beasties is enough to keep me away. A small breed of cow like that is perfect for someone that doesn't want to devote their life (or capital) to a large operation. Have a great time with all the milk products! Fresh cheese, yogurt, etc...

I got to thinking about that "they can be trained to do anything a dog can do" What about a seeing eye cow? I know they are doing that with miniature horses. It might be a good use for a sterile heifer.

thanks for the pictures. we went for a two hr drive (one way) today and when we got there it was dark. (we could not leave earlier, someone who has a job wanted to come)The guy only had one genuine dexter and wanted 1000 for it. He had a bunch of dwarf cattle we were not interested in.
