View Full Version : we have a guinea hatch!

Today, while refilling the turkey feeder, I peeked into the guinea nesting box and saw a guinea chick looking back at me. The first broody guinea was about due. So far we have seen only the one chick, but the rest may be lurking under her feathers.

Yeah - the white one's a guinea. I thought it might be an albino or pied at first, but remember seeing the occasional white chick in brooders at feed stores. We'll see, but I expect it to grow up as your basic, run of the mill guinea.
