If you haven't done so yet, go to page 24 in the Backwoods Home Cooking book and try Jackie Clay's Fail-proof white bread. I've been baking my own bread for 30+ years, trying several hundred recipes and was blown away by the results of Jackie's recipe. The absolute best yet! I was a little concerned about the 4-1/2 cups of water as that is a bunch more than I usually use, but trust me, do it per the recipe and you won't go wrong. In fact, it IS a fool-proof recipe.
