Seems the source I had for buying hay a bale or two at a time for the pygmy goats has dryed up and I'm having trouble finding another close by.
I got to wondering about what else you might be able to feed these goats aside from the brush and such they scrounge in the pen.
For instance, you can buy 50# bags of deer corn in all kinds of places hereabouts, is that suitable as a "substitute" if necessary?
What else is a good thing to have as a staple of their diet?

Since they're ruminates they really should have roughage in the for of hay or pasture/browse at all times.
You can suppliment that with some commercial goat/sheep feed.
