Pigs will eat anything. Feed it anything !

Maybe leave out hard candy, don't want a little piglet with a crazed sugar personality .

But other than that feed it whatever scraps you have.

:DI've seen little pigs eat everything from grain to snakes, mice, eggs and chickens. You are not going to hurt them, they won't eat anything harmful (whatever that might be).

My experience with piglets (and grown pigs) is that they're curious, smart and love most of the same things to eat that humans do. Table scraps without bones, peelings, cooked oatmeal - he'll love it all.

The key here is to prepare an enclosure ahead of time, and put the food in it. Make LOTS of noise when you deliver the food. I used to sing and bang the bucket when I took out the pig slop (a fermented mixture of ground grains and water and left over milk) so they were conditioned to put together the sound of my voice and movement with FOOD.

Even when they got out, I could bang on the side of the bucket and sing and they'd come running. Having them come to you sure beats chasing a pig!

After a few days, he won't freak out when you approach to close the pen and your piggy will be caught.

With tame piglets on the loose, I just laid down on the ground on my tummy and waited for them to come sniff my head - then I grabbed them. Not sure if a ferral one would do this, and you DON'T want to try this with a pig larger than a cat! (10# or less)

Edited to add: Pigs are not cuddly. Be prepared for a little ball of energetic muscle if you try grabbing him!

I think banging on the feed pan etc. would work for anyone, but with my voice I wouldn't try singing if I ever wanted to see that pig again.

What Roy would do is set a live trap with some food and catch him that way.
