Welcome! There are several here with a passion for Morels. What do you do with the excess?

I run the dehydrators 24/7 :D
I have several gallons dried and then frozen. A lot of the recipes I use have a sauce with them, and rehydrating morels in cream REALLY helps the mushroom, and then adds a boost to your sauce. But I do rehydrate in warm water and they still are delicious..
Been hunting Chanterelles and Black Trumpets lately, but last nights drop to the low 40s probably ended that. So, Hen of the Woods, Chickens, Ceps, and Boletes till trapping season.

Welcome! I am jealous of your morel findings! I keep hoping to find a patch close by, but I live on the rocky mountian front and the climate isn't quite right over here for them. On the OTHER side though....lots have been found.

Thank you ladies, it just dawned on me that Morel season is only 7 months away.....:D...going tomorrow to check on some Grifola that I hope is ready. I am down to 3 1/2 pints of dehydrated Grifola from '06, the last two years were disappointing.
