My wife and I got our land!!!!!!! Its in North East Texas, 25 acres with a 3/4" acre pond, and a stream that runs through the back of the property. Definitely going to have to do some clearing, but we are really excited. Will post pics from our jaunt out there this weekend.
Outstanding !!!
Congratulations, and send pics for sure.

What a great feeling to have your own land......how long before you think you can move there?
We don't have a lot of land but we do plan to pass it down to our Son. Land may be the most valuable thing we can have......

Congratulations!!
How about starting a new thread - Rev. Aaron's Homestead Updates, for example. As you make progress, add updated and pix, of course. Not only can we see your progress, help when you have situations, but your posts will help others as they start on the same path.
Even, though we've been here since 1974, I still remember the excitement of getting our own place. Looking forward to sharing a bit of that excitement with you as you move forward.

Congratulations!!!! Your work begins now, but have fun with it, enjoy those around you in the process and enjoy the gift God gave you.
First off, congratulations!
NCLee has a great idea.
Not only will starting your homestead progress thread motivate others, it will help you enjoy the process much more and that is speaking from experience. I find since we are focused on documenting our progress not only does it help organize your thoughts it helps you enjoy the process and others right a long with you.
I have had invaluable support and input from the folks on BWH and I am certain it would be no different for you.
Enjoy the process.
