Does anyone sell at craft shows? What are the big sellers? And what do you sell? I'm trying to find a way to bring in some cash. I used to do the woodcrafts but don't want to get into something so involved and expensive. I posted about jewelry in another thread and the direct selling in another. I'm looking for something that is fairly cheap to get into and that I can do inside the house (especially since winter is coming!) Thought maybe I could even do a couple different things, like jewelry, gift jars, and candles. What's your thoughts on this?
edit: And where else could I do some selling? It's too hard to get found online and ebay's fees are a little ridiculous anymore.

Daf, one inexpensive one that I've thought of is to make old fashioned lye soap. Here's a good link that includes how to make your own lye. http://www.grandpappy.info/wsoap.htm
Start out by selling it locally. Until the weather gets too cold, you can even setup a yard sale table in your front yard. (Watch the zoning cops, if applicable where you live.) Farmer's markets are good places to sell it.
When you read the info at the link above, he even gives instructions for How to "Melt Animal Fat and How to Clarify Used Cooking Grease" http://www.grandpappy.info/wclarify.htm
Have a few more ideas to post, but I gotta get back to the kitchen right now.

I know a couple who take in 400 bucks at the farmers market every week, they sell bread and jelly. That does better than anything else.
My artist sister in law just had a show at a galerie and she said sales are way down.
the soap that I have seen is so expensive I would not buy it.
At the KY state fair though I came to a stand that sells soap, they seem to make it on it.
I think I would try something that people need.

Painted pumpkins sell well if you have a place to buy pumkins at a reasonable price.
You can also make simple muslin "amish" dolls with no faces. Just add black/blue clothing and hats. Very simple and inexpensive to make. Painted bricks also sell as door stops if you have a bunch of old bricks and are very artistic in painting. Christmas crafts sell the best.
