Ok - I'll be the first to post on the sports board. Since I was born and raised in Denver I am a staunch Broncos fan. I also like Rockies baseball.

Rockies are looking good in their run for the pennant. In 2007 when they went to the World Series - that was pretty fun. I went to one of the NLCS games here in Denver Of course in October it was cold and rainy - but we stayed till the end - I think it was game 2 or 3. So I'm watching with excitement as they keep creeping up and back on the Wild Card slot

As for the Broncos - well most of us here are none to thrilled with the new coach - although most agreed it was time for Shanahan to go. Both 1st and 2nd string QB's out till who knows when. So we start of the season with a rookie QB and a wide receiver that wants to be traded and just is coming of suspension. Geez! It's going to be an ugly football season here.

Well, look forward to hearing your posts!

Rocky

I was raised in NC before we had any Pro Teams so I have been a life-long Dolphins fan, though I will root for the Panthers so long as they aren't playing the Fins. College football I am a Miami Hurricanes fan, though again I will root for the Tarheels when they aren't playing the Canes.

Don''t watch much baseball but I have always been a Braves fan, even when they stunk up the joint in the 70's. Not a particular fan of basketball, but I will occasionally watch a college game or two n March. Some of the more non-mainstream sports I watch are Bull Riding, Track and Field, Boxing, Triathlons, Ultra-Running and occasionally Cycle racing.

As you can see I enjoy quite a few sports, but I'm not really a fanatic and I don't trash talk other folks teams, hopefully we can keep things civil in here and prove wrong those folks who said this board would be a trouble area.

Being from Missouri, i have to root for all Missouri teams (it's just how i was raised). I am a HUGE baseball fan (St. Louis Cardinals, who are having a phenomenal year). I would have to pick the St. Louis Rams for football even though they have been on the rough end of the deal the past few years. Mizzou Tigers for college football.( this is my first year actually following College Feetball :). Not much of a fan of basketball, or hockey.

Ok i'm going to join in here if i may!.

I was born and raised in New Zealand, and the sport is rugby....i am of course, a fan, of the national team - The All Blacks, and of my county team - Canterbury. Since i live in the UK now, i support Ireland in the 6Nations (a tournament played between 6 countries in Europe...England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy). I dont tend to support any local teams, but will watch any live game on the tv. Rugby is a winter sport, and in the summer i will watch the cricket(sport not insect :D). Sadly since i dont have satelite tv i miss alot of live sport.
Again being in the UK football, or soccer as you call it is the number one game and i'm not that great a follower....i'll watch a live international match and thats about it....i find soccer to tame compared to a more gruelling physical rugby match!.
I used to watch alot of your American sports in NZ several years ago....i enjoy baseball alot, find your football very frustrating with all the stopping and starting!, and find basketball to fast!!...altho, when the national NZ team was doing really well at basketball many years ago...maybe in the Olympics??, i was following them....gotta support the national team whenever possible!!.
i generally will watch any sport i can find, if its a live game...i love the thrill of watching it for real if that makes sense.....something i get from my mum....we used to get up at 3am when the All Blacks were on tour in the northern hemisphere, and watch the games live with our toast and hot chocolate!!.
right enough from me, i've rambled far to long and hope i havent bored you all to much!!.
