Goopy eye on Steer question

This steer has had a goopy eye since he was 2 days old and he is 7 months now. It was always just a bit of liquid etc but now in this harsh cold it is really green snotty looking droop. He is not red in the eye nor does it seem to bother him. Should I treat it?

I would because with my luck I'd get a dandy spell of incredible cold weather and things would go downhill from there.

Sure you should treat it. If you had a GOOPY eye wouldn't you want it treated?
