Yeast cakes?

We JUST got enveloped dry yeast here and all around there are little refridgerated cubes of yeast in Finland.

Is there any difference to using the caked stuff? I have no clue about it.

Katrina, seems the cakes are used all over Europe. I have used them for many years and like them better. They do not keep long.
