Finally expecting!

Finally after 2 years of trying my wife and I are finally expecting a baby. She was diagonsed with PCOS ( polycystic Ovarian syndrome) which basically means that she has cysts on her ovaries. Well after taking fertility drugs, and after 4 months, we have her pregnancy confirmed! With this comes lots of risks. So i ask you all for your prayers for a perfect healthy baby! We are so excited for this blessing!

Oh gosh, that is so cool. I will always remember and have a clear picture in my mind of the day some nearly 49 years ago when the doc confirmed that I was "in the family way". I'm so happy for you and your wife. I'm also praying that all will go perfectly for the "three" of you!

Well here is an update for ya'll!

Corbin Landen McCarty was born at 9:54 PM (Belgian Time) on the 21st of May. He weights 7.03 lbs. He had some problems with his respiratory system when he was deliever. Got some fluids in his lungs, so they stuck him in the NICU. he is doing great now though. he has to remain in there for monitoring until Monday. Mom is still in the hospital too. They had to give her some stitches after the delivery cause of the episiotomy. She is doing well though. My first child looks exactly like me! Lol! I am so happy. Please Keep Corbin in your prayers though. Here are some pictures for ya'll! Hope they aren't too graphic..lol

Oh Derek, Thank You for sharing these beautiful glimpses of your Joy an Happiness. I would think as ya'lls loved ones are watching your lives unfolding, they must be so proud of your Journey.

The name you chose for your son is strong and sound. You can look into this lil guy and see already the man who waits not so far a off.. When I see the pictures of Corbin, even before he was here with us, that ya'll kept and savored.. thas the big love of parents who will mold and shape this little one into a good good man.

I wish I could be there to help Brooke as she recovers. I would fluff her pillas an cover her with one of the beautiful quilts I will always remember that she works on.. a task of love, by a wonderful young woman.

Congratulations! I feel for momma! I thought my stitches were worse than the delivery - and they sure lasted longer!

They do grow fast! My "baby" - almost 13 is driving tractors - he is good at moving snow with the 35 hp and is getting better with the horses. His sister - now 16 has started several 2 year olds now. Sad part is about the time they can really become helpful they will be grown and gone!!

Hope you have a good sleeper so the family can be well rested - and if you don't - I spent hours "nuzzling" my son. He was colicky for about 6 months I would nuzzle his fuzzy little head when I was up with him at night.....
