I would like to have a way to be able to run the blower on my corn stove with solar. If the electric goes out, then i have no heat. I do not know what to buy and and how to go about this. Any suggestions would be great.

First, do you know the power requirements of the unit? This info should be marked on it somewhere.

Hi Sher
Most likely, is there an corn feed auger that needs power too? You need to find the TOTAL power consumed by the whole unit, as 12Vman said.

Maybe the easiest thing to do is have a battery powered inverter that the whole unit will plug into. Your system should be able to handle double the working load. And your inverter should be able to handle double the starting load. That means if your furnace needs 500 watts, your system should be able to produce 1000 watts, and you should convert it with a 2000 watt inverter.

You need to start by finding out what your power consumption will be.
