Hi...can anyone help give me a basic description for trimming hooves on my goats. The people I got the wether from had never done it before, and I have watched our 4-H leader do it, but never done it myself, and she's out of town. I want to do a little at a time. I think as long as he has some grain in front of him, he'll let me handle his feet, as he's quite friendly...

Thanks!

A man at our county's farmer's co-op told me this week to haul in a pile of gravel out in the middle of the pasture....he said the goats will play "king of the mountain" on it and it will help wear their hooves down and maybe I won't have to trim them as often...

Now I just have to SAVE enough to be able to afford the load of gravel....
