Hello from Northern IL/Southern Wis..

Just wanted to say hello on this cool Oct morning..I am not a homesteader but hope to someday..I would like to have a few acres where I can have some chickens,a few raised bed to grow my own food..Plus room enough for a horse and room for wildlife to visit(maybe even harvest a few)..
I'm looking forward to making new friends here..
Ps..I don't have the room to start any gardens at the moment..

Are you near the FreePort area? We have had some relatives attend the police academy there, and some other relatives in Milwaukee working at one of the computer labs at the college. We are way south from there near the Mississippi.
