Howdy

Way north side of Twin Cities metro.

Our shop is far enough out, next to a small regional air port and railroad line that we have had Grew Wolf tracks in the back yard of the shop. Local Conservation Officer confirmed the tracks, and said there is tracks quite often, but no visual sightings yet.

Snowing here in North Central MN right now, it rained most of the morning. Hubby (an OTR truck driver) was in the middle of the ice storm yesterday, took a couple of slides.

Snowed here last night, we have about 2 new inches of snow. Getting colder too. Even my Alaskan Malamutes didn't want to go out (again) this morning. Wonder if they would prefer Florida???

Beautiful day here in the North Country....Snow is melting and the road is muddy. Could spring be around the corner? Sure sign are all the fish houses going by my house! Fish house city is being dismantled!

I'd love to see your farm! But we live all the way up here and I don't drive very far from home anymore...RA has me in it's grips. Coffee sounds good too!

Snow/rain is supposed to miss us this week but SE is going to get it...again.

Several of us are meeting near Hinckley later this month. PM me for details if interested.

Bright sunny day here in the woods. Yesterday we couldn't get above 40 and now it's almost 80 out there! Guess the snow is finished for awhile.

BTW...would like to ask you, what's the best part about the area in MN that you live? Is it the people, fishing, farming, gardening....??

Susie :D

Fellow 612er here, looking for a bit of land right now, where is the best place in the state in terms of ordinances, seems like you can't even dig a privy let alone build a hunting cabin anywhere in the state anymore without sign off from 10 different bureaucrats.

There is a green home fair in st. paul, but it is mostly about getting people to use flourescents and bamboo flooring, no real backwoods movement that is organized that I have found

MANY years ago I read about an offer of homesteading land available in the county. Does anyone know the status of that now? Anyone live there on here? I would like to know more about the area from someone living there.

I wonder if the title of this thread should be changed to:

" MN Roll Call, Land of 10,000 [closed] Lakes?"
