Tornado/storms in Southern Illinois

We had a tornado hit our farm at noon on Friday. It ripped the roof off of two garages & my aunt's house & blew out all her windows. It flattened a 100 year old barn that my Dad just resided & roofed last fall. It totalled the wood shop & machine shed & shop and two trailers that are on lots we rent out. It was scary. As far as I know it was the only real damage in our county. The good news is that everyone is okay - no injuries and thank God it did not do any damage to my home, my parents, my brother or my Grandpa. In neighboring counties, there was severe damage from straight line winds and power is out & may be out for at least a week. Keep your thoughts with these people.
We have been cleaning up constantly since Friday and have made a good dent, but they are calling for storms/rain starting tonight and the rest of the week, so that won't help at all. Got to get back to it!

Emerald, I went through it too. I didn't know it was a tornado, I thought it was straight line winds...Anyway, it WAS scary. We were without power over 30 hrs. Not a big problem at home, but at work...MAJOR problem. (I work at a Post Office) Hope everything gets better for you. Be careful cleaning up!!!
