I am not sure if I can put this here or not but here it goes, in the past week our house was broke into and four guns were stolen. The guns were very important to our family.
1.Custom made 338RUM on a Montana action with a Nikon BDC Monarch scope
2.SKS black synthetic stock with scope
3.Pink Cricket 22lr peep sights
4.H&R 929 22 nickle
The custom gun was given to me by my wife the other three belong to my kids. The guns were stolen in NE Oklahoma but may end up in your area please get in touch with me if you see any of these. Thanks Ken
Sorry to hear of your bad luck. I'll keep an eye out down here in Central Texas. Did you have insurance?

If you're an NRA member you may have some coverage... It may be for life members only, I can't remember...
Looks like there is a $1,000 coverage for both annual and life members.

I had my home owners insurance "State Farm" it's worthless. It gives you a one time $1500.00 with a $1000.00 deductible and a promise of a 30% increase in premium. I am a NRA member I will check on it Thanks Ken

Hate to say it, but you've probably already considered it:
This was likely an inside job. I'd bet my next paycheck that someone you know is the culprit. Were your shootin irons the only thing missing?

flat you are right on the money I have a pretty good idea who done it but proving it is tough. It's kind of a catch 22 if I go stomp a mud hole in his sorry rear end I most likely will never see my guns again so I have called all the pawn shops and gun shops within a 100 mile radius and even called him with no luck yet. Hate to get the pigs involved, but this may be one of those rare instances where informing them of your loss might be beneficial.
In my area, on the local craigslist equivalent, under the "hunting" section, the county sherrif's office regularly posts a little "watch out for such and such rifles been reported stolen" ad.
The cops do not find stolen guns funny. Not one bit.

This is why photographs and serial numbers in a fireproof safe are so important.
