My Dh had to tell me what the bars were for (kangaroo). All I can say after watching that is WOW. Are the roads in Aussie land really wide?? I am just wondering since I have had the displeasure of driving the wrong way and having to turn around in small spots.... I can't even imagine trying to turn one of those around, back it up or anything of the sort. WOW

You won't find rigs that big too close to big cities, they are for long distance overland use. Here, in NSW, B-doubles are as big as it gets. Get them coming past my place. Once, in Cobar, one hit a pothole in the main street, and it was like a jolt in an earthquake. Truckies are the life blood of transport, cos the take everything from everywhere to every where else, and they are much better drivers than most folk on the roads. Except when they try to race a train to a level crossing XXXX That rarely works out well. Kangas are the least of these guys worries: try stray cattle, water buffalo, wild horse, camels, and drunks. Not that you would want to hit a kanga. We call then BULL BARS.

Must be pretty flat down there. I can't imagine pulling any kind of grade with one of those beasts. I wonder what the braking distance  and tonnage on those are. Definitely impressive though.

I remember taking a 53' single trailer into Beverly Hills, CA and it felt like it might as well have been one of those.
