Anyone harvesting ginseng? What are you getting per pound? The Asian store is only offering $50/lb which seems very low this year compared to other years.

Friends of mine were getting 350 earlier this season, but that was way below last years price, and they had expected it to go down further. Is your $50 price green?

It was just dug, washed, and hung to dry, not aged for a long period. I think a lot more people are growing it now. Our brother use to make a fortune off of it at the market, but prices are down now.

Found that googling around for info, that is a lot of work, but it also sounds like green root prices. If you dry your root and sell to a dealer, you can hold and control the price you get a little bit.
