I seen somewhere how to make a plucker, the one I am talking about they used a 30gal plastic drum and just drop the bird inside and let the fingers do the plucking. Any help would be appreciated. Ken

FWIW --I don't know if the how to would be there, but when we were researching how to make a meal of our rooster youtube had lots of them on there. Might be worth checking out for some ideas?

The deliberate agrarian link is a good one . Thats where we learned to build our plucker. Even ordered the rubber fingers from him. He has a link on the side of the page that shows pics of how it is done .Ours is a 50 or 55 gallon plastic barrel that has been trimmed down. There are also pluckers that the barrel lies horizontal & the fingers are on the outside. You hold the bird & let the barrel run. The problem that we had with that one is , when it was turned on it snatched the bird right out of my hand & flung it.I prefer to drop it in, turn it on & not have my hands any where near.

I’m sorry but that is funny. I can picture it going across the yard while you just stand there staring at it with a what the h#ll look on your face.

Stanb, good video. Most folks wouldn't go to the expense of hiring a polka band for background music. That definately added a touch of class.
