Hi - I'm Mary. I'm 50, divorced many years, mom to 4 kids, mostly grown, and 3 grands, 4 if you count ds' SO's DD, and I do! I live on about 6 1/2 acres near Mt St Helens in beautiful WA state. I'm an RN at the local hospital and love my job. I have a nice big garden, a small flock of chickens, too many goats, an alpaca, and a horse, plus a litter of pups from my Great Pyr and 7 cats. Those of you that frequent HT know me as manygoatsnmore. ;) I was a member of the BWH board a very long time ago and couldn't remember my user name or password, so I re-registered with my farm name. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome Mary
I'm on the other side of the state.
Small hospitals are good places to work.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
Jo, Hi! I'm still working on the stove project as the weather's not been helpful. I have the hole cut in the ceiling, but not through the roof, and I ordered the firebrick for the stove, so I'm making some progress.
Flatwater, I was here when Mt St Helens went off - lifelong resident of Cowlitz Co. Several of my friends and a few extended family lost their places to the mud. My place here (last 8 years) is on the Toutle near the forks, but was high and dry through the whole thing, so I feel pretty secure in being here. Still, you always think, what if, given her history...
I'll have to figure out how to post pics - I do it once in a great while and have to figure it out all over again the next time around...my kids call me a Luddite, lol.

I would like to heare your story about your ST. Helen experience. Mine was pretty simple. Heard about it , 3pm the same day things went black and about a little over a quarter inch of ash over everything. It worked it's way down about six inches now
