Congrats !!! That is awesome. The company I used to work for had a whole row ( 16 ) of seats at center ice and I got to go to several games a year, I hope you have a great time. Being in Pittsburgh late never really bothered me, as cities go, Pittsburgh is not bad, but I do have my weapon with me. My middle son has a lady working for him whose husband has season tickets to Fenway Park, they aren't hockey fans, guess who got their tickets to the WINTER CLASSIC on New Years Day?? :)
Enjoy your game, they are even better when the tickets are free.
We are on a West Coast trip starting today in Anaheim, but we play you guys as well this week. Should be interesting, we seem to have trouble playing on the road out west, hope as Stanley Cup Champions we have figured out how to deal with that.

Well, last night was pathetic, your Kings caught us on our worst night so far this year. Even though we have 4 of our top scorers out with injuries, it was no excuse for the way we played last night. Not to take anything away from the Kings, they are BIG and FAST.
I stayed up till 1:15AM screaming at the TV the whole time. We played horrible, you guys were on your game, that's the way it goes.
I hope they get their game before we meet San Jose tomorrow.

A little chill in the air???......
I really shouldn't complain, at 12-4 we have the best record in the NHL right now, and you can't expect to win every game of a 84 game season, and if we are playing right, and still get beat, I can accept it. As a former coach, last nights performance are the kinds that make coaches have coronarys. We were NOT focused, not hustling, and not winning fights for the puck, the lousy passing almost made the TV an unintended consequence. We are usually on, when we are not, we really stink up the ice.

Dh's opinion is this:
They 'looked over' the Kings.....got lazy in the 3rd.....and the wheels fell off.
With Malkin, Kennedy, and Gonch down....them's big holes.
IMHO Gonch being your biggest hole (defense mom...what can I say:-)
Maybe the Pens stayed up too late and ate too much pizza while playing video games? (ancient travel excuse!)

Blackhawks 4 Kings 1
1) HELLO QUICK GET ON YOUR POST!!!
Really, didn't we learn that in Squirts?
2) First to the puck, first to the puck, first to the puck.
3) BODY UP BOYS!!!!!
4) Shoot the puck, Shoot the puck SHOOT THE PUCK
Hawks were sharp last night.
Sat 15 rows up behind the goalie (opposing teams) so I saw all 5 goals scored right in front of me.
United Center is not as big as RBC Center, and didn't have poo diddly for food selections.....just your usual 'event' fare. Yuck. RBC had some SMOKIN' GOOD food at their facility.
All in all a good time was had.
It was way totally cool to see Ryan Smyth play. He's one of the greats!!

I saw that, it amazes me how such a good team can look so horrible here and there. Good thing both of our teams came out swinging and got some points built up.
We are even in more trouble now, another top defensman, Letang is now out for two weeks with an injury. We are so depleted, that it is hard getting up for a game. We have to find a way to hold on for at least 3-4 weeks until the bulk of our guys get back.
Gonchar is probably one of the best defense guys in the NHL right now, he doesn't get the credit he deserves, but our lack of a power play since he has been gone speaks volumes.
Tonight may be ugly, I hope we can stop the bleeding soon.

D-men never get quite the press they deserve....
Everyone is there to see the big goals, or the dangle's!
Letang? OUCH. That's a huge spark.
Hopefully he will recover quickly.
Gonch is the big big one though.....he's your anchor.
We'll see tonight........Boston is not so good this year and Chara is GROSSLY over rated.

It just keeps raining, tonight we lost Brooks Orpik, another defenseman, and an enforcer. We haven't scored a goal in 7 periods, it is hard to score goals when you play the whole game in your own zone...

HEY MY KID IS AVAILABLE!!!
5'11", 170lbs, bone crushing hip checker, can rush the puck, has 11 goals and 9 assists this year with his team........:)
That just stinks for the Pens.
If the Kings play tonight like they did Monday.....Canes may break their 12 game losing streak!!
The season's early.....Pens will be fine!!
