Every once in awhile I run across a forum or blog that just puts it all together in one nice little package. We have evolved to the point that we can no longer take care of ourselves. We need help from many sources just to make a meal. I am not talking about the members of this forum so much as the world as a whole. Anyways, it is no secret we are living in tough times. Folks out of work, loosing thier homes and unable to make ends meet. Here is a site that may open some eyes and put you back on track. Simple is still better. I know this should probably go into the homesteaders forum but i want as many folks to see it as possible. No I have no connections with this site. I just think it is worth looking at. This is food for thought. Read the story in Members Contribute Pages. A story of a 97 year old lady that survived the depression.

Looks awesome, but too bad it's just a online magazine. If it were a paper one, I'd subscribe in a heartbeat.

That story is full of beautiful sentiment.

""An ounce of mother is worth a pound of cure.""
""Be rich in Love.""
""Be humble and willing to work.""

Nice article with a lot of wisdom. (Reminds me of talking to my great uncle who lived through the depression.) I think I should cut and paste it into our HS curriculum for tomorrow... :)
