Do you knit or crochet? Here is a very worthwhile idea for what to do with yarn that is left after some of your projects are completed. See what you think.

A very worthy endeavor, indeed. I'm going to put my 95-year-old Mamacita onto it; she loves to crochet and delights in feeling needed. I always have small portions of handspun yarn left over--not enough of each to make a cap, but certainly enough for some of these 6x9 rectangles. Thanks for posting this, Dayzee.

OH DEAR! I hope I am not putting a crimp in your idea with this comment. I just found out about this project, but I intend to get to work ASAP. I believe they ask for acrylic yarn only, because of wool alergies and so that the finished ones can be easily laundered. :o

I had edited my last post to reflect my discovery that the yarn needed to be acrylic, but the edit seems to have gotten lost. Anyway, Mamacita has lots and lots of acrylic yarn, so that won't be a problem.

Thanks for the link I passed it on to my Mother and her friends.
