I didn't know if anyone knew that the Scholastic Book Company opened up their warehouses in Dec and May for customer appreciation sales. The website says you need to be a teacher or school volunteer but anyone can go. The prices are 30% to 80% off the cover prices. Most things are 50% off but some of the newer titles are only 30% off.

I get a ton of my Christmas shopping done there. Here is the link to their website http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/events/warehouse/ just click on your state to find out if there is a warehouse near you. I have met many homeschoolers there, and the entire warehouse is open to the public.

Bummer.

No sales in Montana. Figures.

Part of the deal of living in a relaly rural state is the fact that we don't get the kind of deals you can find in the more populous areas.

Oh well. Thanks for the head's up!

Most of the rural schools around here have a big book fair twice a year. They bring in trailers with dispalys and books at big discounts. Keep an eye out on the kids backpacks or even the signs outside the school.

The prices at the warehouse sale will be 30% to 80% off the bookfair prices. Things are really really cheap at these sales.
