Got a lightweight Charles Daly 20 gauge side by side today. Nice gun. Got a good deal on it. I've been doing more grouse and upland bird hunting and my goose gun is way to clunky and heavy. Saw about 20 grey partridge in our fields the other morning.
Picture is on my blog, I don't know how to get it any smaller than 100KB to upload to here.

I'm a shotgun junkie.:D
Where is the Charles Daly made? I've got a couple of Stoeger Uplanders that are made in Brazil. Good, solid guns. These are double trigger side by sides. I've got a .410 and a 20 ga. I don't hunt, but when investigating the chickens raising a ruckus after dark I find a SXS to be excellent when holding a Maglite in the off hand. Hard to operate a pump that way.;)

I've had several Daly's over the years, always been good shotguns. RPD, I have an old Stoeger that belonged to my dad. 10 guage double, 30" full and full. That was our long range goose buster for many years. Now its just one of those "I dare ya to shoot it" kinda things to friends that come over, lol. It will definitly hurt ya if you aren't careful. Let it roll, I tell em, but noooo they always gotta choke down tight and hold it close....ouch.

I was planning on shooting it this morning, maybe checking for those partridge in the back or a rabbit. It's pretty lightweight, but I'm just planning on putting light 20 gauge shells in it. We'll see. I wanted to keep it light. I could have (for more money) gone with a heavier CZ. the CZ might have been a slightly higher quality, but the Daly looks fine.

I thought Daly was built by CZ? I think the 22's that they put out are.

Darn! Couldn't get it to play. Was it one of those shotguns built on the AK 47 platform? I was looking at one last year, but didn't have the money. They have a very high coolness factor.

Shot a big rabbit with that Charles Daly double I bought. Very nice shooter with light loads. Wouldn't want to put a duck load in it, but that's what my other shotgun is for anyway.

Bunny picture. So nice to carry a light shotgun around on my morning walk around the place. Now I just need to get a few of those quail that are hanging around.
