How much are you willing to pay for a "good replacement"?

Get one with 1" rings.

100.00 or less. I figureed I'd have to go with a 1" scope. The one I had was an old 7/8" Bushnell that served me well. I wish they still made them.

You might look into a Nikon Prostaff, you can pick one up for around $100 if you look around a bit, the site below also has a few Bushnells in stock if your loyal to the brand.

Nikon isn't bad. For a .22 anything decent will work, go with what you know and can afford.
I doubt you want to go with a Schmidt and Bender for it.
